CADRE is a non-profit organization committed to reducing the burden of diabetes by providing health care professionals with scientific information and educational initiatives designed to translate research into effective clinical practice.

Diabetes Education from CADRE
  • CADRE's Current Diabetes Practice - The current issue of the CADRE newsletter contains information on obesity treatments, including a review of pharmacotherapy for weight loss and the status of FDA approval for new weight loss drugs, clinical strategies for lifestyle counseling, and treatment options for overweight pediatric patients.  You can also read archived issues.
  • Cases in Success - Web-based, interactive case studies about various treatment strategies for type 2 diabetes.  Although accreditation for these case studies has expired, you can still obtain valuable information and complete the cases for your own non-accredited education.
  • CADRE's I DO initiative to Impact Diabetes Outcomes is a multi-year curriculum covering the spectrum of diabetes management, including:
       - Cardiovascular risk management
       - Diabetic kidney disease
       - Diabetic peripheral neuropathy
       - Hypoglycemia
       - Insulin therapy
       - New antidiabetic therapies
       - Special populations
       - Weight management
Our goal for I DO is to provide healthcare practitioners with the tools to translate cutting-edge research into improved clinical management and improved outcomes for individual patients.  As I DO programs are developed, links will be posted on this page.
